Shine

Let the light rain down on me

Lonely songs of violent relapses

I'm afraid of bravery

Yet here I stand

Tall and proud

Blood dripping from the wound you left

Pooling beneath my feet

Yet here I stand

Eyes dried from weeping

Mouth closed after all the screaming

I whisper and I tip-toe

I please and I love

Yet here I stand

Naked and bloody before you

Under the glow of the midnight moon

I will no longer fight for my life in order to live it

Right now I must rest

Let the light rain down on me

I hope and pray you see the good in me
