Shattered Hearts

Even the strongest walls have a weakness that can crumble everything we’re holding back.

How fragile, yet beautiful is the very essence of our being.

With ever beat of our heart, we’re molding within us a priceless work of art.

Some choose it for evil, others choose it for good, both easily shattered when touched.

Deep within us is a coursing river paving life through every turn.

The very blood that keeps us alive and willing to love, also becomes a magnet to wandering souls

The newfound currents create new pathways in our lives

Some choose those paths to love intimately, others choose them for pain, both easily shattered when the pathways aren’t maintained.

To love requires reaching into the depths of a human, conceived in a world full of hatred.

Depths that can take you deep into the darkness of ones soul.

In time, that darkness can cover us or shape us, both bring us to our breaking points which slowly starts fracturing the heart.

Every beat puts more strain on the walls we have surrounding us.

Slowly our barriers collapse and we’re flooded with the unknown.

Unwilling to process the emotions the world is drowning us in.

A depth so great which requires us to sink or swim in sin, both ultimately having a direct impact on our lives.

Buoyant

Lost

Escaping life

Swallowing pride

Standing in the crowd

Elevating others

Dreading the unknown

Our shattered hearts have become a channel for others to attempt to fill.

Bruised, broken, searching for answers

Only to find that each pathway leads to another trail of pain

Of which the recipient has exhausted themselves of love.

We’re all a little broken

We’re all a little bruised

But just when you’ve given up hope

Someone comes along and replaces that shattered heart, with a piece of them that seals the vows of forever and always.

Those shattered hearts become BLESSED hearts, which will stand the test of time when put to the ultimate test.
