Your soul inside is filled with anger
I'll save your heart from hate and danger
I'll clear your mind from hurtful memories
Secure and heal your many injuries
I'll remove your doubt and make you strong
Enable you to stray from wrong
Moving forward is what you need
To build new grounds and plant new seeds
Open your mind to accept the change
Let love in and control your rage
Promises I make will never be broken
So listen to these words calmly spoken
I want to cure you with all I've got
But you've got to trust me and deny me not
You're my life I'll make you whole
Filling the pieces to your long forgotten soul
My life is simple yours not so
I'll fight your demons so just let go

The Longest Minute
A minute. Sixty seconds to say goodbye. That’s all the time that I had left with him as the needle slid into his leg. I stared into his drooping eyes, looked at the blood-tainted saliva dripping from the corner of his mouth. They said that this was the best thing that we could do for him, a last kind act for a best friend…but if that were the case, then why did my heart feel so heavy?
