SALUTE ALL THE MEN

I remember running around, not knowing what i’d find

Wondering around hopelessly, going out of my mind

Say a picture of Uncle Sam,and he was pointing at me

Decided to sign up that day,be all that I could be

A war came and they sent me, to a foriegn land

Said we are in it together, united we make a stand

Watched many of my friends die, always lived in fear

Lived to fight another day,and wiped away my tear

(chorus)

Let’s salute all those men

No matter the color of their skin

Some came home some had to die

On the battlefield,you are colorblind

Some people in this world, they disrespect our flag

Treat her like she ain’t nothing but an old dirty rag

Don’t you understand about all the soldiers who made you free

How can you respect yourself when you take a knee

God,family and freedom,well that’s the american way

Used to hear it in school, used to say it every day

So if you see a soldier, don’t worry about their skin

Just ask and they will tell you, they’d do it all again

(CHORUS)

Let’s salute all those men

No matter the color of their skin

Some came home some had to die

On the battlefield,you are colorblind
