Truth does not ebb and flow
Beneath the pull of another's moon
Honesty sounds the same
No matter what instrument plays its tune
Yes, the fabric of reality
Does not reflect your views in warp and weft
And the words I've spoken plainly
Will not change with your next breath
Perhaps you wish a different life
Wherein we both knew not
What bones stacked up beneath our feet
And had been left to rot
Yet here and now is not that place
And I am not that girl
I know just who you are now
And you're no longer my world
