The Piece of the Puzzle without a Home

By Rick Henry Christopher Published 2 years ago 1 min read

I am a missing piece of a puzzle of which nobody knows

I belong to a puzzle or three but the fit isn't quite right

A piece alone without a name

A piece that's left out of the game

A piece which is torn, tattered, and ragged

Unrecognizable on the edges it's jagged

Left out in the rain without an invite inside

I am a piece of a puzzle which does not fit the tide

This poem hits a cord with a lot of people, I believe. It definitely does with me. I really loved the part where you say "I belong to a puzzle or three but the fit isn't quite right"... implying there are a couple places you almost fit, but don't. I resonate with this so much! Really, really great poem :)

    Excellent, but sad. 🥲

  • This was so sad but it was very relatable

  • I think all of us left over pieces should make our own puzzle
