at that quaint lake house rental,

overflowing in calla lilies and confetti sprinkles,

scattered polaroid memorabilia.

the found scavenger hunt,

through forests of blueberries, laughter and leaves,

those golf carts could hold a substantial amount of weight; love in loads.

where does the time go?! asking for a friend.. it's been a challenging road,

if nothing ever truly ends, then i'm wondering how it all truly began.

must be why our ancestors aimed their gaze to the stars,

we just took on the rivers and bars,

wading through quick sand, seeking stable lands.

where was the sun when needed?

all of these places. reflecting off of many faces.

clouds be damned, we led with fire though, carried on, making spaces.

i guess in that case,

wherever the sun was needed, we just made our own.

- where was the sun needed? everywhere and nowhere, all our sunshine, we manufactured

my little sun goes out to five little kids, little babies, really.

all you knew was love. all you had ever been, had been endless love. life ripped you from different wombs, and sent you spiraling in different directions but for so long it was just you all; cramped, in that shared cell.

things are very different now.

two have crawled back in, seeking it's sullen comforts. we're out - us two, but its no victory, when for years we've been minus one. this is for us, this is for her. where was the sun needed?

everywhere and nowhere - and that's earth for you, a scramble of identity and time, everything you need ultimately you have, you just have to believe. go on now, you'll be fine.

you remember far less rainy days, and begin to see the ones you crave, are where you created the sunshine.
