Poetry on Social Media ©
Humourous poetry on the social media life of each individual.
There once was a world without tweets,
Where Facebook and Instagram were obsolete.
We'd talk face-to-face,
And go to a different place,
Without the need for our digital seats.
🎵
But now we're addicted to likes,
And obsessed with our digital spikes.
We share every meal,
And document how we feel,
Just to get validation from our digital types.
🎵
We scroll through our feeds,
And pay attention to our digital deeds.
We compare our lives,
To others', and strive,
To have the most followers and the most creeds.
🎵
We've forgotten the art of conversation,
And the joys of face-to-face relation.
We're too busy online,
To enjoy the simple time,
And have lost the human connection.
🎵
So let's put down our phones,
And appreciate what's real and known.
Let's talk and laugh,
And make memories that last,
And leave the digital world alone.
🎵

You know it is right, you shout and shout. Finally, we end up joining the digital crowd, For computers are now our lives, Unless we go live in the jungle far away from it all. Sigh!
This is great, and you're right.
A good reminder to unplug once in a while!
