Jolted from slumber by a thunderous boom

Heart hammering as mountaintop fragments, bleeds blistering saffron seams

Horror hastened steps

Cinders lash down, visibility consumed

Lungs igniting

Suffocating

Skin blistering

Piercing the gloom, inferno in the sky

Ground detonates anew

Plummeting

Mud and flame surrounds

Legs mired

Imprisoned

Eyes turn to sky

No sky

Only murk and sludge

Ceasing

Eyes close

Eyes open

Piercing light

Confusion

White cave walls filled with small, furless mammals

Pain

Gaze down

Body unfamiliar

Glittering bones, no skin

Immobile

Furless mammals pierce with sharp stick

Weary

Eyes must close
