Has His face turned away

Because I’ve gone astray

Wanted things to go my way

Never thought I’d see the day

No more radiant splendor

Petitions returned to sender

In this world no other mentor

For the mind of a sick love-spender

The currency unused and unreal

As blank hearts try to feel

Fear what’s under the seal

Wounds I won’t let heal

From a petty soul-stealing grifter

To the professional sand-sifter

Unleash the heavy-lifter

To see the wind blow swifter

Constancy taken for granted

For viewpoints flipped or slanted

When the truth exposed is ranted

New love-seeds are planted
