If you tell somebody something, someone will hear.
People will talk, from one mouth to an ear.
They will quickly spread, what was once in your head.
Kind of like butter, when it's placed amongst bread.

They're destined to hear it, but it won't be from you.
And they'll probably believe it, even though it's not true.
You must ignore what they say, any lie's that they tell.
Make the most of your day, and all will be well.

Because letting the rumor's, invade in your mind.
Is like letting a tumor, remain on your spine.
So it's best to stay private, and hide what you know.
Or the negative thoughts, will pile and grow.
---
That is not to say, fully cut yourself off.
Instead cover up, like you would a bad cough.
Hide what's important, until it's all set in stone.
For the beginning of progress, is met while alone.

Finding your purpose, and seeing it through.
Is no easy task, that's clear to be true.
Communicating our thoughts, is something we must.
So find your true north, somebody you trust.

Somebody to help you,
Along the path that you walk.
Hold onto those secrets,
Because people will talk.

I AM
This is not who I thought I would be. Before my family was captured and forced into slavery, I had aspirations of becoming a wealthy business owner or possibly a scholar and philosopher. Becoming a warrior was the furthest thing from my mind. Unfortunately, our Roman conquerors had other plans.
