Penelope

A Little Nightmare poem

Penelope went for a walk in the park

Her mommy warned her, "Be home before dark."

She skipped down the road and picked a few flowers

It wouldn't be dark for a couple more hours.

Penelope saw a girl sitting next to a tree

Was she crying? Did she scrape her knee?

She skipped up to check on her, maybe she'd make a new friend.

Little did she know, she was about to meet her end.

The girl's skin was green and her eyes were all white

She grabbed Penelope's arm and took a big bite.

The whole world went dark and Penelope fell

but she awoke later to a delicious smell.

Looking through her new eyes, she spotted a boy

Eating him up would bring her so much joy.

If you see Penelope, don't turn your back

or you might become her next tasty snack.

Penelope- an original creation

Penelope was born on September 28, 2021. She was inspired by a drawing I made long before that. For many years, I thought about turning my drawing into sculptures, but instead, they became dolls and Penelope was the first.

A very dark and creative effort, and a great way to promote Penelope and her friends.
