I once heard a rumor

A funny story about King Arthur

He loved his wife and kingdom

So he did not out her

When she loved his best friend

Lancelot the strongest of them all

Their affair could have been

The kingdom’s wretched downfall

But the curious thing is

Arthur never seemed to mind

Really he couldn’t love his wife

For they were of the same kind

His parents never conceived

A boy to raise into a king

So Arturia became Arthur

And that fixed everything

Woman to man, and not in love

That is the story’s happy end

Why of course the king would gladly give

Her wife to her best friend.
