Only Me

now lost in the past

In the depths of solitude, a heartbreak I bear,

A tale of sorrow and pain, only I'm aware.

No one can fathom the depths of my despair,

For it's my lonely heart that must repair.

A love once cherished, now shattered like glass,

The echoes of laughter, now lost in the past.

The promises we made, now turned to dust,

In this desolate landscape, I'm left to adjust.

The nights are long, and the days are cold,

As memories of love within me unfold.

Each tear that falls is a silent lament,

A broken melody that I alone invent.

The world moves on, oblivious to my plight,

As I traverse this path, cloaked in the night.

But in the silence, I find strength anew,

To heal the wounds and rediscover the true.

For in this heartbreak, I discover me,

The strength and resilience that no one can see.

I'll rise from the ashes, like a phoenix reborn,

With a newfound wisdom, my spirit adorned.

So let the world keep turning, and time move on,

I'll mend the fragments, where love has gone.

For only I can heal this shattered heart,

And find solace in myself, a brand new start.

In the depths of solitude, I'll find my way,

Through the darkness and pain, I'll seize the day.

For in this heartbreak lies an opportunity,

To rise, to grow, and to set my spirit free.
