One Night

Two strangers warm breath and tired eyes

By Dole AyomidePublished 10 months ago 1 min read

Two strangers share cigarettes and jokes

streetlights play on their empty glasses

the magic that holds them is but a puff of smoke always running, always hiding, careful

A look, a kiss, two lovers in minutes

Lips, palms, fingers, dance at the touch of their skin feels like strangers, they have never been look up it’s three in the morning

Is it too late to ask what their name was?

Two strangers share secrets and life’s wonders on queen-sized bed only acts of plumber

Moonlight sets in the west and sunlight rises in the east

Two strangers warm breath and tired eyes

One last dance before one must go in a world full of heartache

A stranger embrace is always the prize.
