Obmutescence
Silent treatment is the loudest form of absence

Staring at my phone, regret seeps in I know I’ve messed up, my soul heavy with sin Let's talk this over, don’t let this be the end Every second apart feels like it’ll never mend No calls, no texts, just empty, hollow nights Cuts through my heart, silence sharper than knives Eternal silent treatment, where love slowly dies __________________________________________

Author's Notes
This was written for Vocal's Moment of Silence Challenge.
An acrostic poem is a poem where the first letter of each line spells out a word or phrase. Based on this prompt (SILENCE), the first line would begin with S, the next line would begin with I, and so on, ending with the final letter E.
