A luscious green hedge,
so tall,
so rich
A barrier between
what is right,
and what is wrong
I feel safe
Behind these soft,
plush walls
Basking in the sun
Watching clouds wisp by
before my very eyes
I feel protected
Behind these generous,
impenetrable walls
Creating a world
A place, i call
Home
Observing
my reflection,
that instantly shimmers by
A lonesome face,
streaming tears
A wondrous girl who cries
I wonder what she thinks
In a world
Consumed in blue
With no one but herself
Can she feel?
Is she true?
Her ivory tinted skin
Clawed up
by painted nails
Her beauty
masked by sorrow
Her silhouette appearing frail
Clouds came soaring in,
Casting shadows
throughout the valley
Half her body dissipates
Her faded presence
Strikes uncanny
Deeper she drowns
Empty she feels
Alone once again
In this beautiful
Hidden oasis
She calls, Home
