We pray for healing,
Your love, we're feeling.
Covered in prayers and knots,
Churning buttery thoughts.
The small quilt is a symbol,
To cover and protect you like a thimble.
Heal us from destructive thoughts,
protect us from wicked world's plots.
We beg, take away all the anxieties of tomorrow,
take away yesterday's sorrow.
We pray for healing,
Your love, we're feeling.
Inspire us into the action that lasts,
be the wind to our sails and masts.
Because we're heading out to sea,
with no future as our guarantee.
This sea of blood will never dry up,
if only it would, this is all corrupt!
Alas, the sacrifice of blood, sweat and tears,
through all these long, hard years.
