Ninety foot ceiling

or a village home

A Ninety foot ceiling or is it a dome

Many of us live without a thought or a care about venturing far from our home or lair

Some live their life in a hollowed-out cave

Others more adventurous prefer to roam and be brave

Some live deep underground

While others pretend to do it all

They live under a dome

Seeing the light having nature at hand

But never venturing far across their own town or land

They live under a dome never reaching their ninety feet

They never touch the sides or the peaks

These are the many

The ones who in daily life

Carry the countries and kind of hide

They seek out adventure in various ways

Mostly experiencing it through the senses of each day

Watching others on social media and TV

Experiencing the beauty and natural wonders they seek

Yet never venturing past their ninety-foot dome

They pretend to wander and roam

Those who wander and roam all their life

Are the seekers and adventurous but are afraid of a mundane life

Somewhere in the middle are those who seek both

They understand and know the truth

This is the ninety-foot ceiling

The dome

And these are the souls that teach others how to wander and truly roam

Without fear of stagnation

Mundaness of life

But to follow the sounds of their souls speak

To be open and willing in life

To explore unknown lands

To sit in silence and just let themselves be silent

To honour the feelings of families and a tribe that needs to be

To fully explore what brings them joy in the moments in between

Not having any care if they are sitting alone

To live life fully their way on their terms

These are the ninety-foot ceiling livers

They follow their hearts

Carry no guilt

Love themselves fully

Love others too

Compassion is their companion

Living their friend

A village is the way we are all meant to live

Each one of us has a skill to add

In the ninety-foot ceiling, we are all loved

Each one does what they have the joy to do

Even if that seems mundane to another

It’s the truth

So when you sit and fear adventuring out of your comfort zone

Or you wish to hide in your hollowed-out cave in the semi-dark

Or fly high through the mountains and rivers but never land

Remember we all need to come home to our village, our tribe, our lands

Let those who hold the villages hold you too

Let yourself explore your unseen and unspoken truths

The ninety-foot ceiling is a place for all of us to learn

The village within the dome is our learning curve.

So I ask you now

Which one are you

A village holder

A cave dweller

An adventurer

Or a teacher of how you can explore and live them all.
