When down the rocks I tumbled,
From off my lofty height,
My ego bruised in flight,
And when I slipped and stumbled,
My confidence had crumbled.
Then I could see the light:
That I was never right.
And when I was so humbled,
I thought I was alone.
What made me feel so dumb
Was all the needless sorrow,
That stole away tomorrow,
And left me feeling numb.
Like sun would never come,
And only sadness followed.
And pleasure left me hollow,
Like joy was meant for some.
I feared I was alone.
But soon I will be better,
And I’ll forget the pain,
And happiness remain.
My ever is forever,
Because we’ll be together.
Perspective I will gain,
And wisdom come again.
And never isn’t never.
I’ll know I’m not alone.
