Never Enough

From "No Thunder in Heaven"

At the end of so many days

But not enough

I would say

“You are the best part of my day

I love you very much.

I will always love you.

I am always on your side.”

Just so he knew

Sometimes he would just smile

Often he would say

“Love you Daddy.”

I wrote songs about him

From the time he was born

I’m still writing about him

Years after he died

An entire book about him

A few more lines about him

So his legacy is more than memories,

Flashbacks

And a room full of toys

It can’t be enough

It’s never enough

If you think I could stop

Then you never knew The Boy
