You’re never alone
Even when you’re not home
These empty faces and places you’ll roam,
Slipping away to stay unnoticed, unknown
But you’re never alone
But you’re never alone
Trying to find comfort on the streets,
But it’s brief...
Hiding the highs of strangers beneath-
These wants versus needs,
And all your good deeds,
And your good path to peace into pieces...
But you’re never alone
When you return back home,
These empty places you escape
Thoughts scribbled on a page,
Days spent in a daze,
And the questions you think-
The answers you seek,
“I’ll have another drink”
Eyes heavily blink
And you’re never alone-
Someone will take you home
And you’re never alone,
You’ll never be alone
