My Peace

A place of comfort.

A fruition of dreams;

where daffodils smile their light

upon the blades of grass below and

radiate into my soul

with intentions of love.

My rhythmic heart

gentle and slow

smiles back

as my eyelids drop,

blanketing the deep green windows

with a warm embrace.

Light fills my body

Slowly-Deeply-Completely

I’ve learned how to breathe

into the earth, from the sky and

into the sky, from the earth.

Inhaling serenity and

sinking into the moment

with presence.

This moment brings me peace.

I open my eyes again

to the swaying green shapes against

backdrop of deepest blue

that brush my ears

with whispers of hope.

The laughter of the squirrels

and sweet melodies in the air

resonate with me.

My cells pirouette with gratitude

and honor their songs

with applaud.

My comfort is here;

In the realness of this moment.

This Now, that never was

and never will be again

My heart opens to quietness

and bursts with love.
