Never Leave Home Without Sunscreen

Never leave home without sunscreen! So, every year, National Sunscreen Day is celebrated on May 27th. At the same time, you must use the right products before you head to the beach or are outside.

Whether you are going to the beach or stepping outside; it is essential you use a good SPF 30+ every time you leave your home.

Not only is it important to use the right amount of sun protection lotions today; but you should use this throughout the year.

Danger of Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is on the rise.

Did you know this type of cancer is one of the most common ones in the USA? But sadly, a lot of people don’t pay attention to the harmful UVA/UVB rays.

Meanwhile, if you notice any uneven moles or see a border; it is imperative you see a Dermatologist immediately. Most skin cancer is treatable if found early.

In fact, melanoma is scary. Trust me – I was diagnosed with Melanoma about a decade ago. Since that time, I have become an advocate for practicing safe sun and I never leave my home without sun protection.

In addition to protecting your skin with sun tan lotion; you should also cover up with long sleeves, a straw hat, and sunglasses.

Best Sunscreens to Use!

Of course, wearing sun protection lotion doesn’t need to feel like something you have to do. Moreover, many options will protect your skin and leave your skin feeling silky.

I have tested many different lotions to help you find the best sunscreens to use.

Sun Bum Original SPF 50

In my opinion, this is the best product to use.

Furthermore, this is my go-to sunscreen.

Moisturize and protect!

This product is cruelty-free, gluten-free and vegan-free. Also, this lotion doesn’t have any parabens or sulfate and contains Vitamin E. In addition, this lotion is a broad spectrum which protects your skin against the harmful UVA/UVB rays.

What I like most about Sun Bum, is it doesn’t feel greasy and my skin feels good after I apply this.

Neutrogena Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 70

When you are looking for a lightweight lotion that doesn’t feel greasy; this sheer dry-touch sunscreen is ideal.

This lotion provides a broad provide a broad spectrum SPF 70 which will protect you from the burning UVB rays.

Also, this lotion is 6 layers deep to provide you with the best protection for skin aging.

When you have been in the sun for a few hours, sweating, or have been in the water; make sure you reapply lotion every 90 minutes or so.

Banana Boat Sport Ultra SPF 50 Twin Pack

For families or anyone who plays sports outdoors; this twin pack is perfect.

This SPF 50 broad-spectrum sunscreen spray is ideal for anyone active.

Best Sunscreens for Your Face

When it comes to products that no one should go without using daily; sunscreen is the most important.

Every day, you should apply sunscreen with an SPF 30+ to your face. Not only will this protect your face from the dangerous UVA/UVB rays; but will also help prevent premature aging.

To protect your face and neck; I recommend using approximately 1 ounce of sunscreen. If you are working inside and won’t be in direct exposure to the sun; you don’t need to reapply it. However, if you have been outdoors, sweating or swimming, I recommend reapplying every 90 minutes.
