My password's past

I sat at my desk, staring at the screen

My hands hover over the keyboard, feeling extreme

Frustration and annoyance at this tedious task

Changing my password, there is something I must ask

I had been hacked, and my identity stole

My life was in shambles, my heart had grown cold

I vowed to never let this happen again

And so I set about the task, with a sense of zen

I typed in the letters, numbers, and symbols

Hoping this new password would be soluble

To anyone who might try to break through

My defenses, my walls, my brand-new crew

I clicked "enter," and waited with bated breath

Hoping this change would bring a new level of zest

To my online life, my accounts secure

No longer a victim, but a password purure

I sat back, feeling a sense of pride

I had reset my password, and my life now re-aligned

Bring on the new year, with all its unknown

I am ready, my password is now shown.
