The transition from summer to fall

Summertime will soon conclude

Gone soon will be the days of splashing feet in the pool,

An instant relief to sweltering humid days

Summertime cookouts come to a close.

Say farewell to nights of stargazing

Our thoughts mystified by the mysteries of the universe

Just sitting on the open porch, watching the world go by.

The sweltering heat will give way to crisp breezy fall

New opportunities await as summer hands off the baton

Shuffling through autumn leaves

A vibrant fusion of burnt oranges, reds, browns, and golds

A season of all things supernatural and spooky

Jack o lanterns, witches, ghosts

Of cozy sweatshirts and fashionable sweaters

As we say farewell to summer and hello, fall!
