Old life endings behind you and ahead a sad new start. Standing in your shower with a broken heart.

You feel no spirit next to you no heavenly father near, and yet you're crying out to him to see if he will hear.

Can miracles really happen when it seems a hopeless case? Can hearts of steel be melted or wickedness erased?

When all you want seems far from you and choices have been made... when you know you had to walk away but wish you could have stayed.

When something precious fell away and you couldn't pull it back... you saw it slip down the precipice into the inky black.

A part of you wants to follow it down and let it swallow you up whole. The other part...a flame in your heart... yet flickers for your soul.

Torn between two places and now too tired to fight, you slump into a puddle and cry with all your might.

The shower warms your body. The water trickles down your face, like a hug from someone above in a heavenly place.

Can miracles really happen when it seems a hopeless case? Or hearts of steel be melted and wickedness erased?

The question echoes in your head and beats within your chest. Demanding, yes demanding that it be put to rest.

The water pours into your eyes as if demanding its own note. You pause to breathe, the sobbings ease, as a moan escapes your throat.

This liquid stuff engulfing you you ponder in your mind, that in each drop - each tiny drop - a complexity hides inside.

In each warming trickle as it holds you in your pain, a swarm of living cellulars live in a microscope's domain.

They dance and play and do their work in every tiny cell. A massive microcosm in every faucet, cup and well.

You asked if miracles still exist - you are bathing in the same. For each of us is engulfed in them, however tiny or mundane.

It is not fair to each of them to brush them all aside, only just because we fail to see them blurring by.

For in our vigor for this life we move at hurtling speed, past massive feats and miraculous worlds that we never stopped to see.

In this moment, life has paused you. Desperation made you look. When everything came crashing in, that is what it took.

To get you to consider and really truly see, that all of life's a miracle...every cloud and bird and tree.

Yes even every water drop in this liquid warm embrace... the comfort of a simple shower as the tears slowly erase.

As hope creeps in you stand again, shaking but with some peace. Perhaps in time you'll laugh not cry...the pain will someday ease.

Perhaps in time the sun does shine, the rainbow clears the day. And God above is not as far away as some may say.

Though circumstances alter what you thought your life would be, some dark ends in time my friends a bright beginning brings.
