Mrs. Mars has a whole solar-system

Inked-

Into her inner arm

INTERSTELLAR

Her eyes beautifully blue

as a butterfly.

Mrs. Mars’ fine hair,

softly frames her face

Hued blue

Ombré and wispy,

like cotton candy

Down to earth,

Well grounded,

her favorite season of all

is fall.

Named her daughter Autumn-Rose,

rightfully so!

Her curls bounce,

like A.A. Milne character tigger.

Her eyes,

out of this world,

blue,

like a sunset on Mars.

In the day,

The two play pretend ,

among the fortress of sunflowers

SPROUTING

within their back yard.

Collecting severed heads

That dried out,

in summer heat

Kernel of truth,

the two hastily,

pluck the seeds two by two

On a baking sheet,

The seeds are in the oven roasting

Autumn-rose hops around

EXCITEDLY

When her favorite song comes on...

This mother and daughters’ voices are

Harmonious

Singsongy as a blue stellar jay

At dusk,

reading aloud nightly

is a must!

Ending in the exchange of butterfly kisses

And tender

Irreplaceable

I love you’
