Motormouth,

I wanted to go with you!

I wanted all the false promises

to be truths...

EVERY TIME

my heart

and

YOUR mind

converse-

We’re on separate pages

You TALK

out of both sides

of your flannelmouth!

Dog eared down,

our chapter-

Purposely left on a cliff hanger...

I, determined in nature-

Deadly as a sin,

you lack ambition

like a sloth—

Watch me,

folding down my converse,

treading through my OWN grass!

STRONG-WILLED wildflower self awareness

Loudmouth called

them annoying weeds-

Badmouth

your pants are catching,

the weeds on fire,

Controlled burn,

you scream like a flamethrower-

Get a load of

this ordinary wallflower...

Watch me,

folding down my converse,

treading through my OWN grass!

STRONG-WILLED wildflower self awareness

Blabbermouth

I couldn’t put you down,

Flipping through the pages,

like fresh paper-cuts don’t sting-

slam poetry
