The real monsters are those that hide in the shadows

The bean counters and profiteers

That leave nothing fallow

The ones that fight to destroy everything from the rear

The ones that promise bonuses

Then choke us later

They favor us now for being brave

But treat us later as their slave

It’s been this way from the beginning

For every time we are winning

They swoop in to strip it away

Because they refuse to pay

For the cost of freedom

That they so desperately praise
