My heart is missing

There’s an emptiness where it used to be

Yet there’s a tightness in my hollow body

That is paralyzing

.

And my thoughts are scattered

So any cries for help go missing

My throat is thick

And my tongue is heavy

.

It all seems so pointless

Knowing there’s no place for me

My motivation is missing

So I sit and stare and ache

.

And my time is wasted

The air around me would be better off

If it was filled by anything else

If I was missing

sad poetry
