Memory of Rain

a love poem

i love you xo

On days of rain, when her cup felt empty

She’d step outside

and let the rain fill her

Feel it kiss her cheeks, her eyelids, forehead, lips

Let it trace down her neck

and across her chest

Make everything damp and heavy as if he were there

Wrapping his arms around her

Bringing her back “home”

He reminded her of the rain

and it was in the rain that she found comfort

The way you can feel it, everywhere as it happens

that feels like "home" to her

He makes her feel everywhere, but she still feels

complete within herself.
