Maybe some people are better as memories
Sometimes they’re just not that interested in you or me
Let them flee
If they care
They will stay
But if not
It’s better to let them go their way
They were there when you needed them
Or they needed you
But you cannot force their presence
So thank them for their gifts
And their presents
But perhaps it’s time to let them go
You cannot hold them forever
If they will not stay on their own
So store their love in your heart
And if they come back
