'I have a dream today'.

Not tomorrow

Not yesterday

He said he had a dream today!

He didn't August 28th 1963 today,

the day that he spoke of the vision to his supporters

or the day he fought his enemies with his words in

Washington DC,

he meant the future todays,

The day that people of any colour walked on the roads, pavements, streets and neighbourhoods to wash out the vicious hate, discrimination, violence and suffering that has been painted by malevolent racists

Martin didn't see a bunch of 250,000 people standing around DC to hear him speak

No, what Martin visioned right about the horizon was a 'Nation that will rise up and live out the true meaning of it's creed'

and 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal',

both quoted by Martin himself,

his vision was to create 'an oasis of freedom and justice'.

that was the vision he saw.
