The potential of the Human race

Covid-19,

what does this word bring to your thoughts?

sadness, frustration or dread?

or does it bring kindness, generosity or acknowledgement?

but wait you might say, "how cam this word, this horrible, dreadful and awful piece of garbage of a word bring the thoughts of kindness, generosity or acknowledgement".

Well my dear reader, let me help you with a small statement.

Well, the Human race hasn't been the greatest but I can say that is is has been one to show it's true potentials and to be the strongest as well.

In the midst of sadness, frustration and fear, we as a race has shown it's:

Kindness, by helping our neighbours and strangers by delivering groceries or to help take care of them.

Generosity, by giving our time to volunteer for the sake of others or by sharing our talents to make others laugh or smile through the rough times.

And finally, Acknowledgement, to realise that jobs that you thought were 'unimportant', like cleaners, factory workers and bin collectors were actually among the pillars that kept our society stable as well as jobs that were titled 'important'.

And from here, I hope in years to come that this tragic event that caused so much sorrow and fear will be also known for the time that the human race could show it's true self out to the world.

In the side note, we can have the opportunity to thank those who are risking they lives in the front line to battle with these virus, to save lives and eventually turn out victorious in the battle.
