Just sitting there on the back of my tailgate

Holding your hand as we watch the sun fade

I whisper to you and tell you that I love you

You lean in and ask, " always and forever? "

You're everything I want and everything I need

I promise to you, I'll never mistreat you.

When you're seventy - five and I'm seventy eight

We'll have fifty two years on the back of my tailgate

I swear I'll love you for the rest of my life

I just want to be your man

I wanna make you my wife

Will you marry me?

And make me the happiest man I'll ever be

If you take my hand I will promise you

I'll never stop loving you

Marry me?
