Dating Site: Her First Date

First date, and the cardinal rule: Tonight, I won’t let him stay;

His profile’s nice: handsome, single; doesn’t appear to be gay.

Not tonight, but, maybe, who knows, another night, I may…

Not tonight, no; but in case my moral compass sways,

I’ll chill some wine, make the bed, wear sexy undies, anyway.

A Lover's Deceit

A hot red kiss,

Such transient bliss,

New love, it seemed so shiny!

“It’s OK,” she lied,

With twinkling eyes…

But now the stick’s all blue and liney!

A Love Fool's Plea

She was nothing to me,

my love, hear my plea !

A meaningless distraction ,

a momentary infraction ,

it’s your fault, don’t you see?

You pay so little attention to me!

Turn around,

She meant nothing!

Please, don’t leave me.

Interrogate me, berate me,

Castigate me and hate me,

But please… don’t leave me.

Dating Site: Her Walk of Shame

Last night we shared a burning passion,

like none other gone before;

I just wish I’d brought a change of clothes;

now I wouldn’t feel like a whore.

I Thought You Loved Me

While you called me “honey”, you took my money

and spent it on another,

After eighteen years of your lies and my tears,

you left me for your lover.
