LUCY & BOBBY
A GHOSTLY DANCE STORY
This is a fictional story. All characters created by author.
There was a girl.
There was a boy.
There was a toy
As the girl twirled
Around the dance floor.
The music was blaring around the dance floor,
As the people drank and danced.
As Lucy watched the kids’ prance
Across the floor
As Lucy stood by the door.

Lucy was only seventeen,
And no dancing queen.
Lucy was on the outside looking in,
Watching the in-crowd dance
Under the shiny ball hanging over the dance floor.

Lucy could not drink,
Underage,
Lightweight,
One hundred pounds,
Long dark wavy hair,
Five feet tall and so small
A boy walked into the club
Without a care.
He had long black hair
Pulled back into a ponytail.
Lucy looked at the tanned body swooshing past her,
Knocking her cherry soda out of her hand.
“Excuse me Miss. I am so clumsy!”
Lucy replied,
“Well dude, the soda is on your shirt
And on my skirt.
So, lets share why
You should sit here with me
In the lounge.
Have a drink!”
Bobby sat down beside Lucy
In the lounge,
As Lucy ordered Bobby a gin & tonic
And chips and salsa
With hot green jalapeños &
Bits of corn to eat with the tomato and cilantro salsa
Dip.

The dark tanned dude
Said,” Oh, am I rude.
My name is Bobby Brood.”
Lucy laughed, “OMG! Me too! I am Lucy Balsa.”
The night was young and warm
As the heat from the summer rain
Had caused a dark web of sweat
To gain
The dance into a morbid dance of fame
As the roof caved in.
The kids ran out of the club
To the street.
Bobby hugged
Lucy as they walked out slowly.
Hand & hand.
All the kids were scared.
The lightning was striking
Every few minutes.
All over the area they were standing in the parking lot
Liking
The rain Bobby & Lucy
Be
Hugging, kissing, so hot
On the spot
In the parking lot.
Someone called 911
& the fire department arrived within five minutes
As they were taken one by one
And placed in the ambulances.
The night was still young.
The dance floor was now a pond
& beyond
Everyone was safe
Except this was a secret rave.
The warehouse was off limits to everyone.
So, the kids were all young
Liquor was not legal,
Due to young ages of all
Lucy sat in the back of the ambulance,
Per chance
She looked around the scenario
To find Bobby Brood.
She asked the paramedic if she had seen Bobby Brood.
The paramedic replied, “No baby, I am Cathy Brood. My brother Bobby died two years ago today at another rave. Bobby was in a horrible car accident after the 'rave'
was over. He had overindulged in alcohol. Bobby was killed along with his girlfriend, Cindy Lou Beastie.”
Lucy was so in awe, “Cathy, OMG! Bobby was so real. He helped me escape out of the club, so we were not injured by the roof that caved in over the dance floor as lightning struck the DJ booth knocking out the electricity as rain flooded the cub.”
Cathy replied, “Yes, my brother was a good guy to hang out with. You remind me of Cindy. So, Bobby helped you and the others to survive what could have been a massive death scenario. Lucy you are blessed. Let us thank Bobby for this wonderful visit from the beyond.”
They thanked Bobby, threw a kiss in the air, and told him they loved him. As Lucy stood up, she felt a hug as an orb was hovering beside her.
To my hero
Bobby

Whom I just met
Seeming so real
As he spoke to Lucy.
Surreal on the spot
In the club
And in the parking lot.
Lucy walked off to drive her car home
To her parent’s home in San Fernando.
She drove her bright pink Volkswagen
To the house
Quiet as a mouse.
She pulled into the driveway,
In the late night of yesterday
Her mom met her at the door,
“Lucy, OMG! You are okay.
Some boy named Bobby called my cell
To tell
Me you were okay, alive and saved
At the rave
By him
To rescue all from the flood, lightning, and rain."
Lucy told her mom
About Bobby and her mom replied,
“Okay my baby girl. Let us thank Bobby!”
Lucy & her mom lit a candle
And told him.
He was a new friend,
And, was his own light with or without a candle.
Mom & Lucy hugged,
Walked into the living room.
Bobby was sitting there, smiling,
‘Hey guys I love you and forever will be grateful you are alive,
However, I may ‘hang out’ with you Lucy to guide you

Through your senior year in high school
To move forward for you to obtain your college degree,
Not to drink & drive.
I will be here a short time
To keep you alive."
Mom went to her room.
Lucy walked upstairs to her room,
With Bobby taking light steps
As he followed her into her room.
Lucy lay down.
Bobby laid down.
Lucy fell asleep.
Bobby was there
To hug
Keep her safe
So, he was her angel
Coming into the dark night
& now her paranormal lover.
