true friendship is the best love there is
it is certainly the purest
it is not forced
it is not a competition
there is never judgment
it burns the brightest and lasts the longest
there is commonality
unwavering support
a desire to seek each other out
being together is the simplest contentment
they are the only ones that see the real you
and they choose to love that you
because you love them right back
family traumatizes you and calls it love
partners scar you and move on to the next
friends hurt you the most
but they try to fix it
try to forge a stronger bond from it
maybe that's just me
my family and love life are rough
