Love Lost

A Heartbreak in Verse

Tears fall like rain,

As memories flood my brain,

Of a love that once burned bright,

Now lost in the dead of night.

We promised forever,

But our love was too clever,

It slipped through our grasp,

Leaving behind a painful gasp.

Now I'm left all alone,

With a heart that's turned to stone,

The love we shared has died,

Leaving me with tears I cannot hide.

I thought we had it all,

But now I'm left to crawl,

Through the ruins of our love,

As I search for hope from above.

But there is no solace found,

No answers to be found,

Just a lonely heart to bear,

The pain of love that's no longer there.

So I'll pick up the pieces,

And try to find some releases,

From the pain that I feel,

As I mourn our love that was once real.
