Love is a line in a letter,
A thread that binds two hearts together,
A promise of a forever,
A bond that lasts through any weather.
It's a stroke of ink on paper,
A word that speaks of love and favor,
A reminder of a love so pure,
A hope that always will endure.
Love is a line that's never ending,
A connection that keeps on mending,
A spark that always keeps on sending,
A light that's always transcending.
It's a message that's always clear,
A truth that's always near,
A force that conquers fear,
A love that's always sincere.
Love is a line that's drawn with care,
A story that two hearts share,
A melody that fills the air,
A feeling that's beyond compare.
It's a whisper in the dark,
A flame that lights a spark,
A bond that leaves a mark,
A love that's always on the mark.
Love is a line that never fades,
A memory that forever stays,
A passion that forever sways,
A love that's always ablaze.
It's a dance that two hearts perform,
A symphony that two hearts form,
A promise that two hearts adorn,
A love that's always reborn.
Love is a line that's always true,
A treasure that two hearts pursue,
A journey that's always new,
A love that's always in view.
It's a prayer that two hearts share,
A feeling that's beyond compare,
A bond that's always there,
A love that's always a rare.
Love is a line that's always strong,
A feeling that two hearts belong,
A force that keeps two hearts from wrong,
A love that's always lifelong.
It's a story that two hearts create,
A bond that two hearts celebrate,
A love that two hearts elevate,
A feeling that two hearts anticipate.
Love is a line that's always bright,
A feeling that's always in sight,
A bond that's always just right,
A love that's always a delight.
It's a song that two hearts sing,
A feeling that two hearts bring,
A promise that two hearts cling,
A love that's always on the wing.
Love is a line that's always pure,
A feeling that's always secure,
A bond that's always so sure,
A love that's always a cure.
So let the line of love be written,
Let the bond of love be smitten,
Let the force of love be unwritten,
Let the love between two hearts be forever written.

A Flower Song
Apparently the Aztecs, Toltecs, Chichimecs and other Mexica were crazy about poetry. Despite the book-burning, slaughter, and epidemics that characterized the early stages of the Spanish conquest of the empires of Mexico, some hundreds of poems from the height of their tradition come down to us in Classical Nahuatl, preserved by Nahua and Spanish scholars of the 16th century. One of the most famous poets, Nezahualcoyotl, was a sage-king who opposed the cult of human sacrifice associated with Tezcatlipoca, God of the Smoking Mirror, and favored Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent. Flowers and feathers were the favorite offering of the Plumed Serpent. Moreover, flowers and feathers are a metaphor for poetry. Individual words, scattered petals, the down of tropical birds. The temples of blood sacrifice could be transformed into temples of flower and song. A sublimated offering to the Heart of Earth and the Heart of Sky encapsulated in the Classical Nahuatl kenning for poetry: in xōchitl in cuīcatl, meaning, "the flower and the song."
