My Restless Soul

"The soul leaving the body" by: PorcelainPoet on DeviantArt

My soul ran away from home,

I fell asleep easy and woke wondering in a haze,

The world was the same…But at the same time it wasn’t,

I had become an empty shell of the person I once was,

My mind was a desert, barren and forgotten,

My heart had hardened so much it petrified,

I had lost myself in the darkness,

Help was needed to find my way out,

Alas, who did I have? Nobody,

Then from the shadows there you were,

Like something out of thin air,

You opened my eyes to corruption and woke my heart to love,

Together we found my soul,

Now it’s yours to love and protect
