In this world filled with gossip and hate
Don’t allow yourself to become the inmate
How people view you can create a prison
Let nothing keep your from your vision
Listen to what your heart sings to you
Hold your head up high and be true
Your life is a story and you have the pen
You deserve to be happy, tell yourself again
Let them judge the choices that you’ve made
Dance in the sun while they stand in the shade
You will never make everyone admire you
It’s ok to live a life that others will skew
Mistakes and regrets shouldn’t define us
You’ve grown anew let them sit and fuss
Make your life a story that you love to hear
Keep smiling and never give up my dear
