Limitations

Random thoughts on societal issues we face

Convoluted conclusions

Breeding hate and confusion

Spreading to every last human

-

Talking with no conviction

Just to raise the confliction

Talking continuous nonsense

Just to feel part of the conscious

-

You can call it peer pressure

But I call it a chasing pleasure

Fitting in with “peers” bringing leisure

Not outspoken with thoughts

Inner thoughts are but naught

Staying safe and sound in that cocoon called mass mentality

Sadly, that is reality

-

Love or hate it, ain’t gonna change it

Mass and social media control the narratives

Putting minds in narrow sieves

Filtering thoughts and picking the narrow win

Until they have us all under barrel and flint

-

The world expanding with options

Making you join in their auctions

But they don’t tell you how long the show goes for

A day to two

A lifetime done blew

But you’re still struggling at the casino table of life

Indebted to corporations with no morality

But they convince you “that’s just society”

We need to work hard forever

Or we will never sever the tether

The control they have on our souls and minds

But that’s just society, apparently

-

Lives controlled

Atop desks dice rolled

On livelihoods of millions

Knocking together like billiards

A few powerful and brilliant

Forget their duty, indifferent

To those beneath them

Those who will be screwed by their malfeasance

Losing homes through no accedence

Thinking that some allegiance

Is still there

But none exists

With the powerful, as they persist

With gambling, they can’t resist

Their power just growing

Forever and never slowing

-

The government will surely save us you say

A little too late I’m afraid

With money and power in this magnitude

Governments feel their finitude

They're too big to do anything with now

They basically own the whole country somehow

So all the government can do is bow

To that power and reach

Unless the legacy they wanna leave

Is them destroying economies
