uncomfortable hospital gowns
a foreign location away from home
doctors watching you 24/7 like clockwork
seems like i’m a broken clock because they keep
trying to screw my broken pieces back into me
with new meds for problems i didn’t know i had.
at nineteen, i experienced a crisis
brain fogged over with nightmares
filled with enemies hunting me down
bipolar 1 with psychosis tendencies
they slapped me with the label at nineteen
still can’t believe that i’m just a label now.
did i really go crazy?
did this really happen to me?
why did this happen to me?
all these questions and no answers
wishing i was home in my bed instead of here
i just want to sleep
let me sleep.
