Whence did you come?
Casting contrasting colors
Cradled in the sun
You once brought life
To a tree still living

A vision of serenity
Existence worry free

Draw envy from me?
The waves push you
Without resistance
You float in a
Carefree existence
Crumbling in the hands of time

A blemish? No.
A mark of beauty
Finished with your life-long duty
