It's the only thing that keeps me going
When it seems the world wishes me to falter

Take a second just to notice
That my breath is just another moment living on this planet

While the stressful people stress around me
I find solace in the inhalation process

Hot, hurting, people shouting, running

In the times where I think I cannot keep going
One more breath takes me forward and I smile

I AM
This is not who I thought I would be. Before my family was captured and forced into slavery, I had aspirations of becoming a wealthy business owner or possibly a scholar and philosopher. Becoming a warrior was the furthest thing from my mind. Unfortunately, our Roman conquerors had other plans.
