Layers Of My Heart

Poem of the burning pieces

Layers of my heart

just fade away so slowly.

Layer after layer after layer

fades when the mind turns dark.

Each layer fades away

as the burn strengthens

and the distance between us

stretch to the unknown.

The sobbing layers teleport

into the deep, dark pit.

There is no return.

There is only emptiness

that you have given me.

The greater your distance,

the weaker my heart,

yet the weaker my heart,

the stronger my love for you.

You make me utterly fragile

as the layers of my heart fade.

The stretch is more painful than a blade,

but I feel nothing in the darkness.

Layers of my heart

just fade away so slowly.

Layer after layer after layer

fades when the mind turns dark.
