Late Night Thoughts
you have my word

I have never met anyone as beautiful as (you) are
I (have) never known anyone
I wanted to keep for as long as I can think
and I have never met anyone so complementary;
you are the words to (my)poem
as rain is to rainbows
The (word)s to this poem in fact
My insecurity came as I wrote this
As I fear judgment and failure
I smiled as my heart burst with emotion
like intense bleeding from a major artery that's been cut
My emotions flow like a fatal bleed
Heart racing, blood pressure rising
Will you be the tourniquet that saves me?
