A song about a working mom

She's a single mom, working hard,

Going back to school.

Got divorced, had a cancer scare;

Life can seem so cruel.

She takes each moment as it comes;

Does her best to smile,

But, sometimes, her soul gets weary,

Mode set on survival.

So, she holds on for better days;

Fights for her little girl.

To forge a better life for them,

She rearrange the world.

And every night she says a prayer

For guidance and for grace.

She's trusting God will make a way

To blossom in this place.

As a welder, she "lays down dimes,"

Fusing steel to steel.

As a mom, she's always trying

To keep things soft, but real.

Staying strong despite the hardships,

She hopes her daughter learns

To reach for dreams and not give up;

One day it'll be her turn.
